The FedEx Freight Facility Shop maintenance facility, part of a larger multi-building project, will facilitate maintenance and repair of FedEx Freight fleet vehicles serving the Charleston area. This facility is a pre-engineered metal building structure and features an interior F5 tornado rated steel and CMU built hurricane shelter. This facility consists of (4) service bays, an interior wash area, equipment room, parts room, and supporting offices. This project was coordinated closely with the FedEx Freight corporate team to ensure the design is up to their standards for operation while modifying their prototypical design elements to the site constraints, high wind & seismic zone requirements, and state & local codes.
